--> Blood Porridge: A brave young woman tries to impress her lover, but is waylaid by bloodthirsty ghoul who kills the young man! Can make things right?
--> The Deacon of Dark Water: A young clergyman dies, on his way home from visiting his sweetheart. Preparing for the winter dance and unaware that her lover lies in his cold grave, the young woman answers a knock at the door, at the time the clergyman said he'd collect her. Riding behind her lover, to the dance, the young woman begins to notice how thin and cold the young man is. But, is there time for one last dance before the grave beckons again?
--> The Necropolitan Line: A story, set in Victorian England, based on the old railway line that used to daily take hundreds of mourners and coffins from London to a vast countryside cemetery.
--> Thorgunna’s Tale: A traditional Norse story; when a woman arrives in Iceland, only to die of a mysterious illness, following a rain of blood, her last wishes are not followed by her hosts and so she, and others who die soon after, return to haunt the farm
