Join us for an evening of poetry by dead poets at Conwell Hall.
As the veil thins and spooky season falls upon us, you’re invited to join us for a seance of sorts, to call in the ghosts of our favorite dead poets 🖤
This year we’ll gather at Conwell Hall, a gorgeous art deco cocktail bar in the financial district built as a bank building in the 1920’s.
Together, we’ll invite the spirits of our most beloved dead poets (and perhaps a few others which dwell within these historic walls…) to possess our vessels and deliver one last soliloquy from beyond the grave.
We’re excited to feature readings by Amelia Blair-Smith, Taylor Catalana, Diego Sandoval, and Jacquelyn Marie Shannon, after which you too can take the stage to read the work of your favorite dead poets!
That’s right! At Ghost Mic, YOU can become a medium for the ghost of your favorite dead poet, speaking their spirits into the room once more.
There are 10 slots available for Open Mic readers, each with a time limit of three minutes, and sign-ups are first-come, first-served.
Don’t read your own work! Don’t read work by other living poets! Poems by dead poets only!
Come revel in the spirits of poets passed, brought to life by New York City’s living literary scene and performing arts angels, with a cocktail in hand in a glamorous, historic venue.
