Gary Óg is a folk singer from Glasgow known for his powerful rebel songs and strong connection to Irish history and culture. He grew up in the Gorbals area, where he was surrounded by Irish music and working-class pride.
In the 1990s, he became famous as the lead singer of the rebel band Éire Óg, especially after their hit album Live at the Brazen Head. He later launched a solo career, continuing to sing about Irish struggles, working-class life, and freedom.
Gary has toured all over the world, including Europe, the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand. Some of his most well-known songs include James Connolly, Broad Black Brimmer, and Farewell to Bellaghy. His live shows are full of energy, passion, and emotion.
