A Black and White celebration of Truman Capote inspired by his scandalous life and the ball he hosted at the Plaza Hotel this immersive theatrical experience invites audiences on a provocative journey through success sabotage addiction and true crime. Just as Capote’s guests once did attendees will receive an exclusive card of admittance and be invited to wear a mask. Transformed into a grand masquerade guests will step into a world of intrigue and deception dancing the Ballad of Hypocrisy in a night of mystery and spectacle.
This adaptation with original music plunges the audience into a dangerous conflict where art and life are intertwined. Social hypocrisy class power gossip and murder are the guests of honor at a Garden Party worthy of Truman Capote.The guest list includes some of the most influential members of New York's high society as well as controversial artists. Not all guests are equally welcome but they are invited for what they represent: dancers in the "ballad of hypocrisy". Spectators welcomed at a costume party find themselves immersed in a universe that mixes literature and live performance with music. This all-original writing features an international cast and the innovative French-Italian Kulturscio’k Live Art Collective. For the first time since being formed kulturscio’k are making their Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut with a show aimed squarely at those who love mystery original music and new immersive writing.
