WHAT: WCS Community Dance - Spooky Edition!WHEN: Halloween! Friday Oct 31st, 8:30 - 11pm
WHERE: Dance Underground Studio A (340 15th Ave E, Seattle, WA 98112)
COST: FREE
DJ: Sam Lingane (DJ Pumpkin Spice Latte š)
PARKING: It's Cap Hill, allow time for street parking.
PETS: Not allowed by the building, unless they are service animals.
UPDATE: Halloween dance will be free and we will not be taking donations! We will tip the DJ based on prior dances.
Come on out to the 3rd annual Spooky Edition of the Community Dance - this time on actual Halloween! Costumes encouraged - there will be a costume contest, and a special edition of the celebration jam to celebrate those with the best costumes!
Because we're no longer running a regular Friday night Community Dance, any proceeds left over will be used toward making a future Brunch Dance free. (Thank you to Tony and Cindy for enabling every-Friday dancing in Seattle!)
ABOUT THE COMMUNITY DANCE:
The goal is to create community - I started it because I really just wanted to dance on Friday nights, but I also want to create a space where people can connect and feel a sense of belonging. I want this dance to belong to the Seattle community - if you have ideas, feedback, or want to help, message me anytime!
It's nonprofit. Cost transparency: the floor fee is $245 and I pay the DJ $100. The sliding scale admission is to cover those costs. Anything we make beyond $345 is split 80/20 between making a future Brunch dance free and tipping the DJ. UPDATE: We will tip the DJ based on other dances.
