Calling all superheroes! Start the Halloween season early at the Waikīkī Aquarium’s Members’ Night on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Hosted by the Friends of the Waikīkī Aquarium, this family-friendly event is open to the public and is the perfect opportunity to explore the Aquarium, experience the perks of membership, and enjoy a fun evening with the community.

This year’s theme is Animal Superheroes, featuring the Aquarium’s very own Fintastic Four: Sonarwhisk the goatfish, Symbio the clownfish, Regenera the coral banded shrimp, and Crimson Bite the red-toothed triggerfish. Families can meet these fierce defenders of the reef and learn about their aquatic superpowers.

This seasonal celebration will include spooktacular games, educational activities in the classroom, a scavenger hunt throughout the galleries, fun-filled booths, a Halloween costume contest, a mermaid photo opp, underwater pumpkin carving, and delicious food and drinks from local vendors.

Welcome to the Superhero Lair: Step inside the Aquarium classroom to explore the real-life superpowers of marine animals. Through hands-on displays and interactive stations, guests can discover how our Fintastic Four uses armor, camouflage, regeneration, and even solar energy to defend themselves, outsmart foes, and rule their reef.

• The Regeneration Station: Meet marine marvels with the astonishing ability to regrow lost limbs—like superheroes who bounce back after every battle.

• Super Suits: Get up close with battle-ready animals equipped with natural armor, shells, and exoskeletons that help them fend off villains in the wild.

• Masters of Invisibility: Spot clever creatures that vanish in plain sight using camouflage and disguises to dodge danger.

• Solar Powered Heroes: Say hello to reef dwellers that harness the sun’s power, making them eco-friendly superheroes of the natural world.

Under the Sea Pumpkin Carving: Visit our friends in the shark tank from 6 to 6:30 p.m. for a festive pumpkin carving with our special guest divers.

Treasure Hunt: There’s treasure to be found! Keiki and their families can find the hidden treasures throughout the Aquarium, uncovering surprises and delights at every turn.

Halloween Costume Contest: Keiki dressed in their Halloween best will have a chance to walk the stage and win some fa-boo-lous prizes.

Monster Match: Watch out! Monsters have appeared at the Aquarium. Join the fun and catch them by matching them up.

Anemone Toss: Test your aim and accuracy as you toss colorful balls into their matching anemones.
