A livelier life drawing event, Dr. Sketchy’s is where artists of all levels draw fabulous burlesque and variety performers. Enjoy delicious cocktails and compete in zany drawing contests to win free drinks and other awesome prizes! We’ll start off with quick 1- and 2-minute gesture poses and gradually move up to 20-minute sketches. No drawing experience is necessary; just bring your own drawing materials—plus generous cash tips for our model—and join us for some fun figure sketching practice!

For this spooky season session, we're excited to have the amazing Caza Blanca, who will be modeling for us in a couple of fabulously frightening costumes, in addition to treating us to a must-see performance! Here's more about our October model:

"Caza Blanca is The Lovechild of Tim Curry & Marilyn Monroe! She has performed on stages & festivals along the East Coast, the Midwest & across the country.
"Caza is a disabled performer, having gone through a heart attack, stroke, heart transplant & throat cancer, but that doesn’t stop her!! Known for her creatively driven routines & expressive performances Caza can touch your funny bone or leave you with something tErRiFyInG!!
"Winner of The White Elephant Burlesque’s Silver Tusk Award 2022 for BLOOD FEAST, this High Priestess of Horror, this Classy, Campy, Chameleon Cutie (with an extra side of Creepy), will Charm her way into your pants... ermm... heart!!"

Come early (doors open at 6) to get the best seats and a drink—and even a delicious dinner—then stay after we wrap up to share your work with fellow artists over one last drink. As always, join in our crazy drawing contests for a chance to win some free booze and other neat prizes! No drawing experience is necessary—just remember to bring your own drawing materials, and be ready to generously tip our model.

Doors at 6:00 pm, drawing from 7-10 pm. 18+ to draw, 21+ to drink. $15 in advance, $18 at the door, plus service fees for online and in-person credit card transactions. BYO drawing supplies. No photography, messy paints, or dip pens, please (watercolors are fine). We strongly recommend keeping your drawing set-up neat and compact for this lovely, cozy venue.
