Join us on a musical journey through darkness to light.
Canadian composer Matthew Donnelly's darkly humorous 'Grave Digger's Waltz' gets us into the Halloween spirit.
Pianist Michael Berkovsky plays Rachmaninoff's Variations on a Theme of Paganini in a study of contrasts: the hellish medieval liturgical Dies Irae contrasting demonic forces with some of the most tender and beautiful melodies ever created.
We close the evening celebrating the sheer joy of being alive with Dvorak's euphoric Symphony No. 8.
