It was with this sequel that Art firmly took his place in the horror movie Mt. Olympus along with Jason, Michael, Freddy, Leatherface. If horror fans felt there was little place to go with the eternal monster slasher sub-genre. . .Leone and Art disabused them of that notion. Here Art pursues teenage Sienna during a particularly brutal Halloween. Mythology takes root with demonic possessions and new scary characters. But maybe most importantly, Leone's combination of crazy gore, cinema, silent film comedy kills, and gonzo performance art via David Howard Thornton as Art the Clown set a new template for what the genre could do. Terrifier 2 was so successful it spawned...

930p TERRIFIER 3 Released just last year in 2024, one might be forgiven for thinking it would be hard forr writer/director Damien Leone, Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton), and Christ-like trauma survivor Sienna Shaw (Lauren LaVera) to take the Terrifier series beyond 11. But that's just what they did. And now it's Christmas time. Art the Clown resurrects 5 years after the story of Terrifier 2 to further terrorize a just healing Sienna. The kills are crazier and more unbelieveable. But so is the mythology which now includes full heaven and hell demons, spirits, portals. Terrifier 3 became one of the biggest surprise hits of 2024, making almost $100M on a $2M budget. Proving that Art the Clown had finally arrived at the same level of Michael Myers-the eternal series.
