Get ready for the season with the 13 Unmerriest Monsters - and meet @BaltimoreKrampus in person!How much do you really know about the Yuletide? Have you taken precautions against the Yule Cat? Meow! Get to know Mari Lwyd, a skeleton horse who challenges people in a battle of rhymes. How about the French whipping father, le Pere Fouttard? Locally, we must be on the lookout for the Belsnickel. Maybe you think your decor is up to snuff for inspection by The Yule Goat? Ready for Caga Tio, the festive holiday “log?”
This year's event will support @ToysforTots so please plan to bring an unwrapped toy for collection by Krampus. Those without toys... well, Krampus may introduce you to the true spirit of the season. ;)
Join us for this darker look at holiday legends and lore presented by @RissaMiller, and discover the shady backend of the most wonderful time of the year ~ or as we like to think of it, a Creepy Little Christmas.
Our holiday cryptids are presented at the Museum of Howard County History, 8328 Court Avenue, Ellicott City, MD 21043.
This program consistently sells out, thus reservations are required and no walk-ups will be allowed.
Young guests are welcome, however, please note, the legend of Santa Claus will be explained away. Festive holiday attire and Santa hats are welcome. Sleighs can be parked outside.
Please note, there are no paper tickets and nothing will be mailed to you. Program will be limited to 50 people in an indoor space for 65. Masks are optional and social distancing is suggested. Tickets will be refunded or swapped to another program for any concerns arising due to health issues.
Event may be cancelled due to inclement weather or flood watches or warnings: refunds or rescheduling options available.
If you cannot attend an event you bought tickets for, please let us know within 24 hours for a full refund, or to exchange for another date. Please do not attempt to resell your ticket.
