Meet the GOOD bugs lurking in your garden!About this Event
Creepy Crawlies That Are a Treat!
Not all pollinators are butterflies and bees! Join us as we explore some of the lesser-known pollinators and beneficial critters we often lump together as “creepy crawlies.”
Instructor Barb is a gardener, herbalist, and granny who grows medicinal herbs and food on the high plains. She is passionate about the relationships between native, cultivated, and invasive plants, and all the critters that share our gardens with us.
In this fun, Halloween-inspired class, we’ll explore the interconnected systems that create biodiversity in our gardens and landscapes. You’ll learn the TRICKS for encouraging a healthy, diverse garden ecosystem so you can reap all the TREATS these pollinators and beneficial creepy crawlies provide.
Come discover why some of the creatures that make us squirm may actually be some of our garden’s best friends!
What We’ll Cover:
- Lesser-known pollinators and beneficial insects
- Why biodiversity matters in the garden
- How plants, insects, and other critters work together
- Simple ways to encourage biodiversity in your own landscape
- The benefits these “creepy crawlies” bring to your garden
Perfect for curious gardeners, nature lovers, and anyone ready to see garden bugs in a whole new light!
