On Monday 19th October we’re bringing a spooky special edition to Blackfriars Basement in the form of the Craicfriars Comedy HALLOWEEN SPECIAL, guest curated by Dean T Beirne and hosted by the magnificent Mikey Motion. Also featured will be Paddy Linton, Maria McAveety, Chris Rutter and many more! Halloween costumes are welcome but not obligatory, and entry is completely free!
Guest hosting the evening will be viral hit comedian and DJ Mikey Motion.
“Some of the best comedic talent, Scotland has to offer” – BBC
“He makes you laugh at stories about how bad in bed he is, while still being the coolest guy in the room. What a c*nt.” – Viv Gee
“Mikey is a rogue that mixes positive vibes with big laughs, smiling from the second he hits the stage, you know it’s a good time coming” – Billy Kirkwood
“He’s got those funny bones” – Darren Connell
Just want to watch? All are welcome free of charge, but please respect the show: during performances please be seated and don’t talk or heckle. You’re welcome to arrive late or leave early, just so long as you take/leave your seats as quietly as possible.
These shows are recorded, so by attending you agree to being filmed and the footage being used on social media.
Interested in performing? Sign-up for each show opens from Monday the week before, message our FB page and 5 minute slots will be allocated based on a system that, among other factors, prioritises those who have not been on with us before. Attempts to sign-up at the wrong time, for longer spots or via the wrong channels will be ignored.
Doors to the comedy room downstairs open at 7pm. These shows run every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month.
