Amelia has been working her butt off to keep this place going for 12 years. There are also 12 signs of the zodiac. Is that a coincidence? Sure. Is it a coincidence that deserves to be celebrated? Absolutely.
So this year’s CPC-aversary theme is DRESS AS YOUR ZODIAC SIGN, and we mean that in the most nonsense, creative way possible. Your interpretation can be literal, extremely abstract, deeply stupid, surprisingly elaborate, or something we never could have come up with ourselves. This Club is wacky. The theme is wacky. We’d love it if your costume is wacky too.
Twelve years is a hell of a run for anybody trying to keep a place like this together. Amelia has done it through a depressive breakdown, a major restructuring, a pandemic, and more than a few rounds of economic instability. And somehow, she’s still here. Still showing up. Still cooking. Still figuring out how to make this place and our member’s experience a little better.
CPC has never been perfect, and we’re not pretending it is. We do our best, but keeping a clubhouse running while trying to live by our values is a constant balancing act. There are always things that need fixing, bills that need paying, and we know there’s always ways we can do better.
If there’s one thing Amelia has shown over these 12 years, it’s that she is tenacious, stubborn, and deeply committed to improvement. Sometimes that means making a big change and sometimes it means fixing one little thing and trying again tomorrow.
So come celebrate 12 years of Amelia, 12 years of CPC, and whatever the hell your zodiac sign inspires you to wear.
