*Advanced registration and payment are required, and must be done on Meetup or Eventbrite. If traveling with us via charter bus, the payment deadlines to register for the trip, to secure your roundtrip bus seat ($125/person), and to pay the Travel Service Fee (Early Bird rate: $25), for a total of $150 in 3 installments of $50, are Sept. 30th, Oct. 30th, and Nov. 25th. If you’re doing other transportation to and from NYC and American Dream, the Travel Service Fee is $25.00 Sept. 10th - 30th, $50.00 Oct. 1st - 30th, and $75.00 Oct. 31 - Dec. 2nd. This fee is 50% refundable should you cancel your travel plans in writing by Dec. 2nd. If you're not doing the charter bus, the deadline to register and pay the Travel Service Fee is Dec. 2nd. Join us as we embark on a Festive Family-Friendly Adventure to NYC and American Dream Mall to celebrate Christmas! Discover the enchantment of New York City and American Dream during the most wonderful time of the year. We will enjoy an unforgettable 2-day getaway to experience the magic of Christmas in the Big Apple and at American Dream.

Dates: December 9-10, 2023 (Saturday - Sunday)

Charter Bus Departure: Alexandrian Hotel (240 King St., Alexandria, VA)

(Travelers can park there car overnight at the hotel's garage)

Bus Departure Time from Alexandrian Hotel: 7:30 a.m. Sharp (Travelers can start arriving at 6:30 am)

Destination: New York Penn Station (31st St. & 7th Ave, New York, NY)

We will arrive to Manhattan at approx. 11:30 am.

? Trip Highlights ?

✨ Day 1: Christmas Magic in New York City

? Christmas Extravaganza! Our charter bus will drop us off at New York Penn Station and Madison Square Garden near the heart of NYC, Times Square! Marvel at the dazzling lights and decorations, take pics in front of the giant Christmas tree, and take in the festive atmosphere. Explore the holiday markets and villages, snap photos, enjoy immersive experiences, and visit iconic sights.

? Official Hotel in Manhattan, NYC: Starting at 3 pm, check into our lovely and affordable hotel located in the Chelsea section of Manhattan near 26th St. The hotel is a short walk to restaurants, Madison Square Garden, Broadway, 5th Ave., the Empire State Building, and Times Square. The hotel currently has rooms with 1 and 2 beds available. Drop off your luggage off, then continue having fun in the City! There are also luggage lockers in Manhattan that are available for a fee.

? Free Time & Festive Activities: Enjoy free time to explore and choose from numerous Christmas activities in and near Times Square, from ice skating, holiday and/or non-holiday shows, museums, shopping, photoshoots, and delicious treats. The city is your Winter Wonderland and all things Christmas! Soon I'll be posting dining, theater, and other experiences we can do together as a large group during our time in New York.

? Nighttime Fun: Choose to do family friendly and/or adults only activities during the night, such as live theater performances, comedy shows, live music, sporting events, late night shopping, self-guided Foodie Tours, and/or bar/club hopping, among other activities.

✨ Day 2: American Dream Mall - New Jersey’s Version of Disney World!

?️ American Dream Mall: For those taking the charter bus, the bus will pick us up at our hotel in Chelsea at 11:00 am to take us over the Holland Tunnel for the two-mile bus ride to American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, NJ. American Dream opened in 2020, and is now the LARGEST mall on the East Coast! American Dream boasts 300+ stores, restaurants, a food court, amphitheater, ice skating rink, laser tag, immersive experiences, live entertainment, art installations and murals, mini golf, the LARGEST indoor ski resort in North America, an aquarium, theme park, and indoor water park. We will be at American Dream from approximately 11:30ish through 3:30 pm, then return to Alexandria, VA by 7:30 pm.
