Easter in Italy is a joyous time of the year, filled with jovial festivities that can last for days. And as with most Italian holidays, the celebration almost always culminates in a feast: friends and family gather around the table to enjoy a multi-course meal taking place over the course of several hours.

So what do Italians eat for Easter? Although traditional cuisine varies from region to region, there are a few recipes that have become widely popular for the Pasqua celebration including rich pasta dishes and roasted meats.
