BLACK MEKON
13 Songs About Monsters
ALBUM LAUNCH PARTY
Celebrate the release of BLACK MEKON’s new LP ’13 Songs About Monsters’ (on PNKSLM Recordings)by attending the ONLY monster-bashing mash you will need this year!
BLACK MEKON will play the fuzz-glam-garage-punk songs from their new album, urging that we watch out for zombies and wipe out all monsters! Not good monsters, like Frankenstein's, bad monsters like... well, you know, they’re everywhere! We can do it by coming together on 30th October at The Hare and Hounds and dancing like escaped mental patients.
Read the room... beware the moon! (There’s a gift for every ghoul in a costume!)

One of our favourite band of upstart Brummies, awesome garagepsych with harmonies and melodies and licks and fuzzzzz. https://www.instagram.com/fuzzcouncil/
B.B. KAIZOB.
B. Kaizo is a man-machine hybrid from an apocalyptic future. Amix of blues guitar and electronic beats creates "wasteland rhythm& blues" for you to shake it AND get a little melancholic.

Plus a special ‘Monster Mini Mart’ merch table, with loads of various glow-in-the-dark ltd edition collectibles and wearables exclusive to the show!
Doors: 7:30pm
Tickets: £10 (more on the door)
Anyone unemployed, on benefits, disability, or struggling with money, message [email protected] for special concessions. Don’t postpone joy because the monsters are screwing you.
“A tightly-fuzzed glam-beat, drag race that sounds like someone has filtered Marc Bolan through a gravel pit.” - Paul F Cook, Joyzine
"Black Mekon make blaring, sludgy garage bashers, smartly, they know to curb their near-nihilistic side with cooing vocals." - Evan Minsker, Pitchfork
“Black Mekon’s rock‘n’roll is a brutal twist, they’re industrial blues blasphemy, with distorted harmonica beatboxing, convulsive yelps and a guitar tone that sounds as if it’s emanating from a poorly tuned pirate radio station. They’re a curveball to music in general.” - Guy Hirst, BrumNotes
“Black Mekon are superheroes, when they put on the mask amazing and opposing things are made possible.” - Jared Dix, Echoes and Dust
