BearDown DC Brunch - Ben's Next Door

We getting right to it! DC is legendary for their Brunch so its only right that we join in on one of the best brunches they have to offer . Come repping your favorite city!!! This will be quite the vibe and feauturing RnB & Hip Hop classis. Expect everything from the 90s & 00s including TLC, Mary J Blige, Ameriie, BlackStreet, Donell Jones, Destiny’s Child, Aaliyah, Joe, Ashanti, Missy Elliot, En Vogue, Brandy, Toni Braxton, D’Angelo, Tweet, Jagged Edge. Of course, we’ll be spinning plenty of upfront bangers from Drake, Chris Brown, Usher, Justin Timberlake and the queen Beyonce too!

Established in 2008, Ben's Next Door is a family-owned and operated restaurant and bar on U St in Northwest, Washington DC. As a black-owned establishment, it’s our goal to deliver a warm, welcoming, familiar, and communal vibe to all guests. We exist to provide our customers with a hospitable hyper-local experience of "fun dining" worth coming back for time and time again.
Appropriately named, it's adjacent to our original concept, Ben's Chili Bowl. While Ben's Chili Bowl has stood the test of time on U St; we love, appreciate, and acknowledge our community for holding us up in their hearts, minds, and prayers. We thank them for positively carrying the name far and wide - by sharing our blessing of being able to be a food destination for the last 60+ years in Washington, DC. In a world that doesn't seem to slow down often enough to gather dust or allow proper time to savor a moment - we exist to honor that legacy and tradition at Ben's Next Door - while still striving to progress into the future. We exist to be a backdrop for your memories where you don't have to set up, cook, bartend, or do the dishes.

The Tailgate + Viewing Event

If you joined us a few weeks ago in Houston, or in the past in Las Vegas, Dallas, Kansas City, New Orleans or even London last week, then you already know what is to be expected!!! We are kicking things off at 1pm in the afternoon to get our mind and bodies ready for our beloved Chicago Bears to attack the Washington Commanders at Northwest Stadium. The game time was flexed to allowed for national TV coverage so kickoff now usin't until 425est. Giving us (3) full hours to get it in before kickoff.

Come with your appetites and ready to defend your city!!! Wear your favorite team's gear & meet CHICAGO BEARDOWN FANS as well as the DC faithful... The tailgat event will take place in the parking lot of the Commanders stadium - E Section (Northwest Stadium) just steps away from the stadium. Exact location will be shared with ticket purchasers.

We will have several screens showing live pregame broadcasting and several legendary Chicago dignitaries and retired Bears & Commanders players will be in attendance, groovin with you!

Of course, you cannot have a nice tailgate party without some GREAT FOOD & DELICIOUS DRINKS!!! We are going to blow you away with our awesome food offerings and our bartenders have a wrist that likes to pour heavy!!! (See below Food & Drinks Offered)
