After Dark: UV Fungi Walk

Details

As the last of the light drains from the sky, head into the woods at Adel Dam nature reserve. With ultraviolet lights in hand, you’ll discover the hidden side of this Leeds nature reserve that’s completely invisible by day.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

What to bring/wear

This event will take place outside during Autumn so please come prepared for the Yorkshire weather! Sturdy footwear, lots of layers and a torch are recommended. UV lights will be provided.

Toilets and catering

There are no toilet or catering facilities on this reserve. The toilets and café in the neighbouring Golden Acre Park are closed in the evening.

Parking

Use the main Golden Acre car park on Otley Road. It is a short, flat walk to the reserve. Please note, parking charges apply. We will meet in the Golden Acre car park.

Additional information

You may wish to bring snacks and a flask of hot drinks but please take your litter home with you.
