ACTIVE SCHOOLS P&K EASTER DANCE CAMP

We are delighted to announce the return of our holiday Dance Camp! Between 3rd – 6th April, we are inviting all S1-6 pupils from Perth and Kinross Council Schools, the opportunity to attend a fun and creative week, culminating in a performance to be held at North Inch Community Campus. No previous Dance experience required - just a love for dance!

We are so lucky to welcome dancer and choreographer, Megan McKillop to deliver our camp and supported by Active Schools Coordinator, Michelle Bruce.

Megan started her training locally with several teachers in Perth finishing with Julie Young before going on to complete a Diploma at Performers College in Essex over four years. After graduating Megan successfully auditioned for Carnival Cruise Line where she currently works as a Dancer/Singer! Having had a wide range of teachers, tutors and experiences over the years Megan has a wide range of knowledge and techniques to help children understand, make progress and most importantly enjoy themselves!

Michelle has delivered a number of Dance Leader courses to young people in Perth and Kinross to give them the opportunity to teach dance within their own school settings. While at University, Michelle directed Blairgowrie High School’s Dance show after performing in the show each year as a pupil.

We will end our week with a performance to which all families and friends are invited. Precise timings will be provided nearer the time.

Cost: £25

This is a first come first served opportunity with only 20 places available.

Arrangements for the week are as follows:

• Each day will start at 9am prompt.

• Participants must bring their own lunch. There will be limited time available to go out to buy lunch so it is advised you bring your own.

• On day 1 participants must wait in the dining area to be met by the leaders who will show you where we will be based for the week

• Please bring plenty of water, soft soled shoes and loose comfortable clothing

Places are limited and spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis. If your child has a space and would no longer like to come please let me know at your earliest opportunity so we can offer a space to someone on the waiting list.
