Welcome to 8 Ball Movie Night's BALLOWEEN!We've said farewell to the 8 Ball Patio for the season and we're moving things indoors! October 20 we're haunting the Blind Pig with a pair of spirited frights in store: HIGH SPIRITS (1988) and THE FRIGHTENERS (1996)!
Movies start as soon as our host with the most (Colum Slevin) finishes up his Sunday Funday daybar shift in the 8 Ball and can get things rolling (~9 p.m.)
9 p.m. HIGH SPIRITS
An Irish Castle on the brink of bankruptcy comes up with a new plan to save the property: advertise themselves as a haunted tourist attraction! There's only one problem: they actually are!
An absolutely jam packed cast list with Steve Guttenburg, Daryl Hannah, Peter O'Toole, Liam Neeson, Beverly D'Angelo, and Jennifer Tilly make this one of the best Halloween movies you probably have never seen.

Before King Kong and Lord of the Rings, Peter Jackson was low budget New Zealand filmmaker known as the king of splatter horror. As he transitioned from low budget to mega budget, he made this Hollywood horror comedy with Michael J. Fox and Jeffery Combs (this is one of Combs' favorite roles), with Fox playing a small town huckster who can see ghosts and uses them to con the living... until a supernatural serial killer appears in town and he becomes the number one suspect.
