Join us for the Queen City Sertoma Haunt Your House Halloween Contest—a thrilling opportunity to showcase your decoratingtalents while making a meaningful impact in our community! By participating, you’ll not only have a chance to win exciting prizes but
also contribute to raising funds for local children’s charities. Don’t miss out on this Spooktacular event that combines creativity with a
cause!
OFFICIAL RULES:
1. Participants must reside within a 20-mile radius of Springfield.
2. Contest entry forms, accompanied by a minimum donation of $25 for residential entries or $50 for commercial entries, must be
received and confirmed by 6:30 PM on October 10, 2025.
3. All decorations for houses or businesses must be completed by 6:30 PM on October 10 to qualify for consideration.
4. The contest is exclusively for exterior decorations, including displays visible from the outside in windows. Judging will occur solely
from the exterior of the residence (this excludes commercial entries).
5. All decorations must adhere to PG-13 standards, must not be discriminatory, and must not include any political or inappropriate
content for children.
6. Judging will be concluded no later than Sunday, October 19, 2025.
7. Participants are required to ensure that all lights, animations, and decorations are installed and activated by Friday, October 10.
8. Winners will be announced on the evening of Friday, October 24, 2025, via the Queen City Sertoma social media accounts.
9. Participants must consent to the publication of photographs of their decorated exteriors on the Queen City Sertoma Facebook page and in other marketing materials. Participants acknowledge that they will not receive any compensation for such postings or
publications.
10. The judging criteria for the Best Overall Theme will include the following factors:
a) Unique design and innovative use of lights and decorations
b) Narrative or thematic coherence
c) Effective display and arrangement of decorations, including animated objects
d) Overall presentation
e) People's Choice Votes **
**Contestants will receive one bonus point for each dollar raised through the People's Choice Votes.*
