On Christmas Eve over 100 volunteers gather and deliver gift boxes filled with eggs, fresh fruit, bread, juices, snacks, peanut butter, crackers, granola bars, pasta, canned goods, and milk. The Stones River FOP Foundation has traditionally served over 375 citizens who live in the elderly housing complexes of the Smyrna Housing Authority. After careful assembly each box is hand delivered to every one of the 375 residents in the community. For many, this is the only communication with others during the holiday season.
Come join us to put together our gift baskets and help deliver them to local senior housing complexes. Assembly will take place at LifePoint-Smyrna off Legacy Drive starting at 9 a.m. We will assemble the gift baskets there and then deliver them.
